Default How To Open exe file from asp.net

HI,
My Name is Mohan.
I am trying to open any exe file from ASP.NET but its not allowing me to do so.
I have tried system.Diagnostic.process.start("c:\winnt\notepad. exe")
but it is opening that only in back ground process, and i am not able to see that notepad file.

If any body know about the same then plx help me out.

Where do you expect to see Notepad open?

For the user of your web application, Notepad will be executing on the server not on their computer. How will there see that? What are you trying to acheive with this?

Try following steps...these worked for me on one machine.

1. In machine.config, in the processModel tag the default userName is "machine"... change this to "SYSTEM".

2. In the Services intalled in ur system, go to IIS Admin service, right click and go to property in the log on tab, click the checkbox of ' Allow to interact with desktop'

These should work..as it did for me
