Default To upload an excel file to to sql server.

Hi friends,

I wnt 2 upload an excel file Through ASP.NET and transfer all datas into sqlserver. If you can provide step-by-step way...it will be the best.

Hi Saas,

You can try using HTMLInputFile control, which automatically opens a dialog box to select the file to upload.
And then you can do ur coding.
You can try searching it on net.

Next, you need to save that file on ur machine and then use it.
You can use DTS package or XML file to upload it in the Database.

Try doing it.
Incase of any query, let me know.

I too have worked on i recently using XML file.
But i wud suggest you to use DTS package.
