Validate two textbox one for area code and number

In a form I have a field for phone number and the area code is saved in one textbox,and the phone number in another textbox.Can anybody help how to validate both the text boxes. Thanks,

Validate how, what is the criteria? You can use one textbox and use a regular expression validator and set the type to phonenumber.
