Default SERVER APPLICATION IS UNAVAILABLE

HI TO ALL

THIS IS SATHYA .I AM WORKING FOR A PROJECT. IN OUR PROJECT WE USED STORED PROCEDURE TO RETRIVE DATA(AROUND 3 LACK RECORDS)DEPENDING ON SEVERAL FILTER CONDITIONS. WHEN WE RUN THE APPLICATION WE ARE GETTING "server application is unavailable" MESSAGE.

CAN U HELP ME

uhhhh...this is a very broad error. What this normally means is that the aspnet_wp.exe process has died/is not running on your server. (aspnet_wp is the process that handles .net execution)

This can happen for about 10^54 reasons. The process consumes to much server memory, the request takes to long to complete, etc. I can't help you beyond that without more information.

Is there any possible way to retive all the data with out occuring this error.

My only advice would be to do 2 things; first: set the CommandTimeout of your sqlCommand to 3500 or something this will prevent a timeout from the SQL server and your application.

In your web.config: <httpRuntime executionTimeout="1900"/> that will prevent your web application from timing out with the user.

This may or may not solve your problem because, as I said, that is a very generalized error.
