Default Developing a web based bio metric application

Is that possible to develope a web based application, if yes then please tell me how ....

You can but it requires hardware to be installed on the clients machine as well as COM component on the server and client to handle the data back and forth.

I have the same idea as u described, but i want to know that how web browser activate bio metric device installed on the client PC. Can u tell me one of those companies that provide that type of solution.

The web browser wont activate the device, you will have to embed a COM control that will acutually facilitate controling the device. And it depends on what kind of biometric device you want to use, I only know of the company that I use which is Topaz solutions of course you have to purchase their products to use their COM components (and their devices arent cheap). hope this helps.
