i am developing some college application.In the admission form, i need to use two dropdownlists.first dropdownlist is used for selecting "departments(B.TECH,M.C.A,M.tech--->List Items)" & second dropdownlist is used for selecting Branches is empty at the designing time.when i debug this form,if any one select the Department(B.Tech or M.C.A or M.tech),then it should be automatically populate Branch Listitems(IT,CSE,ECE for B.Tech,Computers for MCA,Cadd,Mechanical for M.Tech) for particular Department.i dont want to use server validations, i want to use client-side validations using javascript.
please give the valuable suggestions and code.

I should ask a query whether u are retrieving the data from the database or u are hardcoding the data.
Next if it is not hardcoded in the design and if it is retreived from the database u shd use ajax concepts here.If u tell me clearly the concept i think i would help u.

these three fields should not enter with digits or special characters(,.+-\ etc),only user should enter characters only.

i want the date&Time picker control to select the date or time.i have used ASP.NET calendar control,but when i select the date ,it goes to the server, so i need date_time picker using javscsript

for all validations----->
1.Phone Number(Land & Mobile Number):
2.E-mail Address:
3.Only Number to enter in the Textbox :
4.Address Field : user has to enter characters and it should be check the length of the address field.

all the above fields need to be javascript validation.please solve all the problems.......!
