Default Modifying running application

Hi all,
Could anyone tell me plz which is the best way to modifying already running web application on production server. Means how should we deploy new aspx page or what should we do if we want to modify the existing coding. Should we stop and restart the application after replacing the dll and the aspx page.
Plz help me out.

Thanks in advance

I think Xcopy will be best solution for your problem. You can write a Batch(.bat) file to copy all the files to production server. Also add command in batch file to restart iis once the copying is done.
