Default Position On PostBack

I have noticed that a behavior of a page postback is to return to the top of the page. For example, I have a calendar control at the bottom of my page. When the user clicks on a date, the date is selected but the page moves to the top.

Is there a way to prevent this behavior, or is it just an annoyance I have to live with?

Thanks in advance for your comments.

That did not have an effect. Am I implementing it properly?

Code:
<%@ Page Language="vb" SmartNavigation="true" AutoEventWireup="false" Codebehind="AddTrainingEvent.aspx.vb" Inherits="CIGAR.AddTrainingEvent"%>
