Hmm..... not sure there is an IIS for Windows XP Home. I'm using it now, and I can't find it, so I am assuming it doesn't come with it.

Try Googling about it.

Sorry I can't give you more of an answer.

IIS (Internet Information Services) is Microsoft's Web server that comes with the Server versions of Windows, Windows XP Pro and Windows 2000 Pro.
It does *not* come with Windows XP Home, so if you're developing on a Home machine, you're in a bit of trouble.

You can take a look at the Web Matrix, VS.NET's little brother that comes with its own Web server: Cassini: http://www.asp.net/webmatrix/default...dex=4&tabId=46

I am not sure if you can use that Web server with your VS.NET projects (never tried it).If it doesn't, you'll need another machine in your network that runs IIS to successfully create Web projects in VS.NET.

Cheers,

Imar
