Single Quote(') is causing error

My data base is having 12 columns. in some records i found single quotes('). while searching on that column its creating error...

"Unclosed quotation mark before the character string "
how to solve this???

Within text, you need to replace ' with '', so that there are no errors. In your code, do this:

strSQL = strSQL & " field = '" & TextBox1.Text.Replace("'", "''") & "', "
