Default "Could not load type" error message

This problem has plauged me many times, and Im not sure what could be causing it.

I open a project from another machine and compile it. It compiles fine and then any ASPX page that I open returns this message.

I've tried deleting the assemblies, chaning the code, the namespaces are all correct, when I create a new page that page compiles fine - its just the legacy pages from moving the project.

This must be a common problem because it happends to me all the time, but I cna't find any info as this error message is so generic.

Thanks!

JQ

Any luck solving this yet?

It seems like a strange problem. I've never heard of it. From what you've described so far it sounds like maybe the namespace references in the ASPX page directive (@ Page) is incorrect. When you create a new page this isn't a problem because visual studio sets it all up correctly.
