Default vbc is not a available command in winxp

i want to build a asp.net component in windows xp.
i have set the right environment variable.
but the system replied as "vbc is not a command in windows xp "

now what can i do?

i guess its not in path. try to find the file in [u].NET Frameworks</u> directory & then run it from there.
