Default PDF Writers and Crystal Reports with .NET

I am in need of a solution. I have reports I currently print in ASP 3.0. I am converting to ASP.NET slowly. Most of my reports are just simple tables in ASP 3.0. I would like to be able to generate reports this easy and then print them. I am wondering if PDF writers or Crystal Reports is better. I want to be able to have a header and footer on each page printed and I want to have the ability to change them on the fly. For example if I have a 2 page report, I want to be able to have different headers on each page if I want. I want the component to determine page breaks, not me. I do not want to have to calculate the number of lines it takes before I should put in a page break. I want something easy to use that can work with both ASP.NET and with ASP 3.0. I do not care if it is a .NET component and I have to write a wrapper to use with COM. I would appreciate any thoughts on a direction and thoughts on products to use/stay away from. I simply want the output on the users browser ( I do not need/want it saved on a server or their local machine (just memory if possible), though If I had the ability to save the report to disk, this would be an added feature and convenient to have.
