Default Smart Navigation in IE4

smart navigation property serves my purpose wholly. However, it works only for IE 5 and above. I want this same property to work in IE4. can anyone tel me how i can achieve this?

Hi there,

I am not sure whether that can done for IE4. After all, if it was easy to do, Microsoft wouldn't have required IE 5.5 (then again, that can be marketing of course ;) )
You starting point is your aspnet_client\system_web\1_0_3705_288 folder. (or any other folder in the system_web folder you may have for another .NET version).

You'll find two .js files that define the SmartNavigation feature. If you're brave, you might be able to change it so it works for IE4 as well. I highly doubt it, because I see some behaviors defined that just won't work on older browsers.....
