Default Calendar Control in ASP.NET 2.0

Hi there,

I'm trying to get a date picked from a pop up caledar control to insert it into a detailsview control, but I'm not having that much luck. I can put the date into textbox on the calling page, but for the love of Pete! I can't figure out how to place into a textbox with a detailsview.

Any ideas on how to do this please?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I do not have a definitive answer for you but you may benifit from turning on Page Level Tracing and looking at the Page Control tree.

But if you can locate your control in the Control tree you can do something like this:

Dim txt As TextBox = CType(Page.FindControl("dg:_ctl2:txtDate"), TextBox)

txt.text = [value from calendar]

Where the value in Page.FindControl() represents the name of the control in the control tree.

Also you can use ALGrid control (http://asplib.net), that has build-in calendar column type
