Default File Download.

Pls help out...

Want to give a button in asp.net by clicking user should be able to download an excel file stored on the web server...

Pls give example code if possible...

Thank you...actualy it is also a good resource, but what requires here is just to move a file.
Just like you are downloadng a video, when you click on a link it asks you to whether Open, Save or Cancel the operation, we generally chose Save, then specify the location and downloading begins.

Is it any way to provide such kinda functionality on button click of asp.net page?

Yes. In your buttons Click event handler write the excel file back to the response stream. Check out this post: http://forums.asp.net/t/1060119.aspx

In short use "Response.write" instead of "Response.writefile"...
