Default template column in grid

Hi ,
I am new to .net. I have a problem with datagrid.
My Sp is giving two fields (last Name, First name). For specific reason they are coming as diffrent fields(I am not combining into one name in Sp). I want to Combine those two names as full Name in one of my datagrid columns. Can any one help me in this regard. some of my friends are advising me to use Template column. But i dont know how to use it.Please help me ...
Thanks in advance
Suresh
