Default Need Help With Membership & Role Management

Hi, Is there someone out there that can outline the steps required to set up a site for membership? I'm using VS2005 and following 'Pro ASP.NET 2.0' - Chap 16, however I must be missing backgound reading or something because I keep skidding to a halt. I understand VS2005 is able to autocreate the SQLSVR express file in the App_Data folder - may it does, but not as per p584-589. I'd really appreciate someone outlining the steps required to add Membership to a new website using SqlSvrExpress. Regards

Sorted! I'm assuming the problem was related to the default instance of SQL SERVER EXPRESS installed as part of VS 2005. After creating a new instance everything fell into place and worked nicely. Lost a day but it was worth it to learn more about these great server controls - onwards and upwards.

I don't know if anyone has already suggested this to you but:
The Beginning ASP.NET 2.0 addresses this subject is quite a bit
of detail. I'm going thru it now and it is comprehensive.
