Default Build Error, not IIS application

Newbie Help.

This error may be related to my earlier topic (~12:30 today,Jan 11, 06). I keep getting an error when I try to run the Beginning ASPNET 2.0 Chapter 3, TryItOut on page 78-79.

The Build error states: "Web Config Line 26, Description: It is an error to use a section registered as allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application level. This error can be caused by a virtal directory not being configured as an application in IIS."

(I don't have a clue what its talking about. I try to 'register' it with IIS but the error does not go away.)
