Default displaying data that is related to the login user

Hi guys:

i need some help please. does anyone know how to generate data from a database that is related to the person who logs in, without showing the rest of the information.

here is the problem. i have two databases one i have created myself where i have a table with a department ID, deparment manager name. and the second database is generated automatically by the system for user name and loging purposes. the user name will be exactly as the department manager name, so when a person logs in how would you get the data that is related to that particular user, from the department table
