Is there anyway of doing it the other way around? I have managed to get a table from my sql database too display in excel, how ever, if i made changes to the excel file, how would i update the sql database FROM excel?
That's really a sql questin not an asp 2.0 question. Look into openquery, the import wizard, DTS or SSIS packages depending on what version of SQL you are using
