You may be better off attaching the database to SQL Server manually using the new (and free) Express management tool, and then use a different connection string to attach to the database on the main instance of Express.

That said, have you tried setting User Instance to True on the connection string?

Hi Imar,

I found the solution. I demoted the domain in order to make a stand-alone server, and now it works ...
The error said :" ... Check that the user has a local user profile on the computer."
But on a DC, there is no local users, only domain users, so i thing that was the problem.

Mention it in your next book ...
