Default Paging in DataGrid

hi to all,

i have datagrid in which i have to use paging concept. I have two buttons namely active and deactive. when i click active in first page the active datas ie.., status=1 .the records with status=1 has to be displayed in the first page and vice-versa for deactive. If we set pagesize=2 ,Note that in page 1 if we have one active and one deactive records and if we click active the only record in the page 1 which has status=1 has to be displayed. Similarly for page 2 also i HAVE to dispaly another two records with the same functionalities described above and so on. Shall i use if condition for paging in this. I don't get any idea. Pls help me with a proper solution.

Thanx in Advance
Vijay
