Default Image -- Insert/Update/Delete in sql2000 !!!

using vs2005 and sql server 2000(sp4)

using gridview/detailsview/etc.. we r able to insert/update/delete data stored in sql server 2000. just wondering if we want 2 do the same thing with an image using sql server 2000, then what controls should be used and what should be the programming logic for it.
i'm a newbie so plz share ur knowledge with me !!!
