Default membership provider

hey
i got troubles with the memberhip provider
first i want to place my database in a folder other then App_data
it is located at

d:\accounts\teamversuzbe\data\ASPNETDB.mdf

at this place nobody is ever be able to download the database it is a map under the root

so i create a default provider like this

<connectionStrings>
    <add name="sqlserver" connectionString="Data Source=.\SQLExpress;Integrated Security=true;AttachDBFileName=d:\accounts\teamver suzbe\data\ASPNETDB.mdf;User Instance=true" />
</connectionStrings>

     <membership defaultProvider="AspNetSqlMembershipProvider">
        <providers>
         <add
            name="AspNetSqlMembershipProvider"
            type="System.Web.Security.SqlMembershipProvider"
            connectionstringname="sqlserver"
            />
        </providers>
     </membership>

now when i do this
Dim status As MembershipCreateStatus
Dim _user as MembershipUser = Membership.CreateUser("waltz", "dq0369999", "davyquyo@pandora.be", String.Empty, String.Empty, False, status)

nothing happens and there is no data stored and i don't have an error

when i add this
response.write(_user.username)

i got the error
object reference is not set as an instance of an object

can someone tell me what i do wrong
