I have been trying to get the windows authentication working. I have been working on my laptop with setting up a new webpage and wanted to implement the windows authentication. I tested to see if User.Identity.Name would work but it doesn't seem to show up. I then tried putting it up on the server we have thinking it might just be my machine but when i did that it still won't show up.

Without being able to implement the User then i can't use windows authentication. I have tried the Microsoft IIS and also Abyss Web server cause i thought it might be something in abyss that was not allowing me. Can anyone thing of anything i am doing wrong

In IIS, do you have your permission settings set to allow Anon access? If so try this: uncheck that box and only check the box for Integrated Windows Authentication. Let me know if it works.
