Ok. If your files have .asp extension they are Classic ASP pages. In so far as Notepad is concerened no it does not matter that you are using it, albeit, it is a bit tiedious.
In IIS, on the same tab that contains the check box for Integrated Windows Authentication, do you have the box checked that is associated with Anon logins? If you do, uncheck it.
