Default Gridview number of records display

I've used an Expression Web wizard to create a gridview report.

What code needs to be added for it to display the number of records returned ?

Any help is appreciated

Many Thanks
John

Create a label and place it on the page. Let's say it's called myLabel.

After the GridView is bound to your datasource (let's say the GridView is called myGridView)... call

myLabel.Text = myGridView.Rows.Count

That's pretty much it.

Thanks for the reply .

Can you expand a little by what you mean by "call myLabel.Text" etc

I've added the label , where does the "myLabel.Text = myGridView.Rows.Count" code sit within the asp label code ? or is it supposed to go somewhere else entirely ?

Thanks

John

Worked it out !
ASP code before the label code ie.
<% CountLabel.Text = GridView1.Rows.Count %>
    <asp:Label runat="server" id="CountLabel" Font-Bold="True" class="style2" >
