Can you post the relevant parts of the page/code? Are you getting an error? Please be more descriptive.

in asp:
<form method="post"><input type="text" name="xxx"/><input type="submit"/></form> it cann't show you text when posted. you can modify you code like:
<form method="post"><input type="text" name="xxx" text=<%=request.form("xxx")%>/><input type="submit"/></form>

and in asp.net: you can write your code like this:

<form id="form1" runat="server">
<asp:textbox id="xxx" runat="server"/>
<asp:button id="bt" text="submit" runat="server"/>
</form>
