I have a little code

   <ItemTemplate>
      <asp:Image ID="image1" ImageURL='<%#Container.DataItem("Image1")%>' runat="server"/>
   </ItemTemplate>
</asp:formview>

how can i check in code behind if the image1 exist then display the code.

can anyone please help?

Hmm. You could loop your datasource before you bind it and test for File.Exists(datasource["image1"]) and, if the file does not exist, replace the value in your datasource wtih a path to a default image. That, I think, is going to be your best bet.
