I am in the process of creating a catalogue page which comprises of a datalist with custom paging. The datalist contains a single imagebutton. When rendered the page creates a grid of 12 images.

The page is ajax'd and works great as a display.

What I am trying to do now is to work out which imagebutton was clicked. The ideal property for me to retrieve would be imageurl but I cannot work out for the life of me how to get this information.

The problem is that obviously the same event fires whichever button is pressed.

I know this is probably simple but I need a little help with this one.

Something like this will work:

    protected void ImageButton1_Click(object sender, ImageClickEventArgs e)
    {
        ImageButton i = (ImageButton)sender;
        Response.Write(i.ID); //this will give you the ID of which button raised the event.
    }
