Default Export to Excel

I am exporting gridview data to Excel. I have a cell value leading with zero's and excel is trucating zero's.

Example:
GridView Cell Value - 00001
After Export to Excel - 1

Anyone face this kind of problem. I'd DataFormatting= "{0}" but its not working.

Any ideas greatly appreciated.

You can use excel's inbuilt style mso-number-format for this like
<style>.text { mso-number-format:\@; } </style>
