Default Bin, App_code path problem

Is there a way to set the default path for the bin and app_code?

The problem occurs when the web page looks for the required dll in the bin folder (or a class in the app_code folder). My page is on the web server in a subdirectory and it looks for the folders in the root directory of the page...

Example:
Desired Result: http://theweb/subdir1/subdir2/bin
Occurring Result: http://theweb/bin

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, I had to remove the "~/" from the link controls url because it was going to the root and looking for the web pages as well.

Hi there,

You need to mark subdir2 as an application in IIS, the Web Server. To do this, locate that folder in IIS, open up its Properties and click the Create button on the Directory to turn the folder into an application.

I think by copying the dll's from subfolder bin to parent (main) application bin folder, this problem can be solved.

For second problem of "~/", you can write "~/subdir1/subdir2/" or "~/subdir2/".
