ProfileCommon not defined error

I followed the instructions in Appendix B; downloaded the finalapplication zip file, extracted it and placed the files in c:\websites\WroxUnited. When opening up the website and double clicked on default.aspx to open the file, the "ProfileCommon" error not defined appears. What did I do wrong
