I m a beginner to ASP.net.I need to know how to move or resize the ContentPlaceHolder 4m its default position.I need to add a navigation bar to the left border of the content page,but I cud not move the ContentPlaceHOlder or either resize it.

ContentPlaceHolders define what goes into an area of a Master Page template. It's the Master Page where the place holders position in code is defined. If you want control where the content appears using nothing more than the flow of the document, you change it in the Master Page.

Alternatively, and probably more wisely, the code shouldn't be controlling the appearance of the document. Use the CSS stylesheet file (*.css) for that.
