Before reading the Instant Results book, you should have a basic grip on how ASP.NET 2.0 works from the Beginning book. The Instant Results book will give you some projects you can put to work immediately, but only if you know enough ASP.NET to make them work.

The Book I have on VB2005 has a part of web application and XML Web Services with 4 chapters which I did not read yet. Do you think after reading these 4 chapters I can skip Beginning ASP.NET 2.0 and go read instant Results ASP.NET 2.0
Thanks

Yes, ASP.NET 2.0 Instant Results is available as a PDF e-book from Wiley:
http://www.wiley.com/WileyCDA/WileyT...47004151X.html
and, you can also purchase just the Blog Application chapter which has been converted into our Wrox Blox format:
http://www.wrox.com/WileyCDA/WroxTit...470261218.html
And the whole book is available in the wrox books24x7 electronic library along with 200 other Wrox books:
http://wrox.books24x7.com
Now back to apro's question: I think the 4 web application chapters in the VB book are probably not quite enough to jump from that book to the Instant Results book. I think there's a lot to do with configuring IIS and configuring a web app that you need from Beginning ASP.NET.

Hi, I would also like to ask you between VB.NET and C# which is better to specialize as application development in both Windows and Web applications
Thanks for your suggestions
