1) Go to Stanford, get a master's degree in computer science.
2) Come up with a unique and ingenious way to rank internet content
3) Get someone to give you US$25,000,000
4) By lots of low-cost computer hardware and install your new invention on it

i mean, i make a research for my final project this semester.
the research is to make a search engine like Google.
the idea is : students who want to find an article for their task, they can easily find it in this search engine, by type any keyword. then the search engine will generate some articles related to the keyword(s).

any suggestion?

thanks.

1. Create a new web form ("Search").
2. Drag on to it a TextBox control.
3. Drag on to it a Button control.
4. Change the "Text" property of the TextBox to "Search".
5. Come up with a searching algorithm to search your indexed pages and return accurate results.
6. Add an event handler to the TextBox control to take the user from the search page to the results page.
7. Hand in your completed project!

Point 5 may be the hardest bit..

Wait, maybe that's why its a final project?!

Hi there..

The best way is to do an inversed list, I learn it in an algorith class, so you have a tree with key words that links to the results.. You transverse the tree looking for the words that the user search...
Hard to code, but fun....

My lecturer suggested me to use FTC (Frequent Term-Based Text Clustering) Algorithm.

Have you heard that?

Here is the link of the algorithm :

i feel a little bit confused with the algorithm..i can't easily understand the definition..
