Hi all,

The requirement is to list down records from a table, there is no edit or add functionality needed, just pagin,sorting and searching is required, my question is:
1) Is repeater will perform better than gridview control?
2) As data is incremental and keeps growing, dose repeater has any limitation on # of records to be fetched?

Repeater has no built in sorting capability.

You also have big problems with nested repeaters. It's very difficult to find and control the nested ones, I had an application. They're great if you just need to repeat a simple list or set of tags over and over. But while they look flexible, they don't really work that well in practice to generate complex HTML.
