Thumbs up Blank items in menu

Chapter 3 of Beginning ASP.NET book refers.

When running example I get main items in menu displayed OK but sub-items do not get displayed; only a blank (white) box.

My environment:

Windows XP Home
Microsoft Visual Studio 2005
Internet Explorer 8

Default

Just experiences this myself with an old system.

The problem is with the display in IE8

Add to your CSS file

.IE8Fix
{
z-index: 1000;
}

I think that is all I changed to fix it.
If notreply to this and I'll check again.
