I am not entirely too sure about this answer so corrections may be needed but have you tried to email a yahoo account from your smtp server. The answer you are looking for may not be found here but on Microsoft's site for SMTP. Your local SMTP server, or server iteself, needs to be configured to find yahoo.com and where to send the mail too. In other words, you need to configure your server to speak to yahoo's smtp server to pass mail to it. Forgive the lesson on inet mail if you already know or i am off but When you send email from your inet provider, it finds the server it needs to go to throug hthe DNS it is registered too. From there it sends the email to that server that then hads it out to the receipient or returns an error reponse. If your local server does not know where yahoo is, it will not be able to deliver.

Not a complete server config expert but know a little something.
