Default Set Column width in Gridview as constant.

we can set GridView column width through
GridView1.Columns[i].ItemStyle.Width = colWidth;
but in the case of a single large word (more than 10 letters) is exceeding the limit in the grid . So can we split the large words in the grid ? How can we solve this prob ?

hope u will respond soon.

Hi, In the Edit columns you in Header Text can put an <Br> tag where you want to brake the line.

Default how-to-set-constant-width-for-gridview column

I think you can specify style for the Bound column like
style="overflow:hidden;" & sepecify a column width.

You can check here for more details

I wonder if 5 years after the initial post, the OP was still waiting for an answer.... ;-)

Please check a post's date before you reply, and try not to revive really old and dead posts....

Cheers,

Imar
