Hi all,

I am doing work in a project,where I have a html page. In that page I have a Button which will run onclick() in javascript. Before end of the javascript function it is generating a string having the sql query. Now I need to pass the string to the next page(Result.aspx)to run the SQl query.

Problem is that when I am trying to do this then I am not getting the previous string. It is just passing the empty string.

Does anyone solve this problem? I shall be very glad if anyone can send me any suggestion. Hope you know this.

i think u need to pass it as querystring...

Thanks for showing interest to my posting.I need to pass the string as a normal string because the query is generating there and it is displaying there into a textbox.

just how can i display a value of any variable in the aspx page.
i tried like..
<% String aa = "job";
%>

<input type = "text"... value = <%=aa%>>
its printing me only <%=aa%> in that text box.

how do i rectify that?

If is your current page pure html page, it is impossible to post data from first to second page. If you your first page is aspx then I can say the solution.
