Default pass a login name as session variable

hi..
im workig on a project in which i want to pass the login name entered by the user, to a web page...
i have tried it in vb2003 but that code is not working in vb2005
dnt know why but i think some thing is missing in it...

plz help me ..i m nt finding a way out of this...
any help would be gr89

Yes. U can. There is a file in VS 2005 named 'Global.asax'. I has 5 mehtods. U can declare ur session variable here in 'Session_Start' method. Then u can use this session variable throughout ur application.
