Default Oracle connection issue.

Hi,

m using asp.net 2.0 and oracle 9i client at my machine, but when i tried to connect to oracle ASP.net 2.o gives error as :

System.Data.OracleClient requires Oracle client software version 8.1.7 or greater.

I am already using 9i clint, I searched other sites and they suggested one typical solution to give read & execute permission to oracle_home folder for Authorized Users. ( any way to find where my ORACLE_HOME directory is located?) since i don't know ORACLE_HOME directory i gave it to root folder belonging to Oracle.

still i am facing this problem. any click?? Pls help.
