Default Opening excel file in a new window

Hello All,

I have wierd issue going on in one of the asp.net website hosted on our staging servers,

I am using Javascript in code behind to open the file in new window using window.open...

The issue is I am able to open the file when I use machine name to browse the website....

But the pop-up window disapperas after one sec if I use IP address....

Has anyone experienced this issue before....let me know...

Are you sure that the URL that you are specifying to open is the proper IP address and that no firewalls are blocking the communication?

Yep 100% sure.... no firewalls checked everything......

I have observed this issue with ssl certificates.... if the issued certificate is in computer's friendly name and not on computer name... this issue seems to occur......

any further thoughts on this
