I have not read either of these books but I find it hard to believe that neither one of the books goes over the System.Net.Mail namesapce since sending emails from a website is almost necessary in this day and age.

In any event, you are asking the same question in a different way: how to send emails from a website. From Google:

Regardless of the recipient you can use a single account in the web.config to send from.

Depending on the configuration of your SMTP server you can either expose the potential buyers e-mail address as the "From" or you will have to use the address of your actual account, but all in all, you can just setup the mail configuration in the web.config once.
