Focus with an ajax tab

Hi,

Does anyone know of a good tutorial for setting the focus with an ajax tab panel or can you explain it here?

I want to be able to set the focus to any field in any tab when the page loads (The exact field and tab will depend on the responses from previous input screens)

Nothing I've found so far helps me.
