Default Login Control does not work in IE6

Hi

I don't know if this is just because I am using this thing called multi IE for IE6 or what but when I run my site in IE6 I cannot login.

Like I click on the userName Field or Password field and it won't let me in the box.

I don't know why. It is in a master page and that's all I can tell you. Like I don't even have any event handlers coded for it like it was pure drag and drop.

It works fine in IE 7,8, firefox

I would start by ruling out the potential of Multi IE being the issue. I am not aware of anything that could cause the ASP.NET control to work for other browsers but not IE 6.

If you rule out that issue, create a simple, single page test project with the login control, that way you can see if it is something project related.

How can I rule this out? I don't have any computers that have IE6 anymore.

The best bet is to have a Virtual machine with an XP machine that has not been installed with IE6.

If you don't have one, microsoft provides them for free!

Just download the images and then install Virtual PC if you don't have it, and you will have an IE6 browser for testing!

ok I will try that.

I have a friend who tried it on IE6 and it works so must be those tools that are doing it.
