Default Let's clear this up a bit...

So basically you want to use an Image to act like a search button correct?

well ASP.Net has an image button control. You can just set that image button to be what ever image you want and the in the OnClick event you can run your codebehind to gather your search results based on your textbox value. Does that sound basically like what you want? what exactly do you need help with on this?
