Hello,

I don't know if anyone could help me.. but i am developping a big project for an university using devexpress controls.. and i was wondering why they are so slow in IE8.. and what could be the main cause ?

I am not very precise in my query but if anyone heard of such a problem i would be glad to hear a solution.

I did already 1 week ago lol All they said is that IE8 render tables slowly. I posted here in case someone had the same problem as me.

I haven't run into any performance issues using them. What exactly are you doing? Are other browsers faster? I don't think I can't help much though; if DevExress can't help you....

The controls run pretty fast on Mozilla Firefox. But when i go in IE8 this is a nightmare. I know you might not be able to help me out a lots.. but maybe you had some ideas about it or some hints.

Is there a way to trace the place where it might slow them down ? I hold many controls in a multiview using callbacks.. around the way on combobox..

I am seeing similar issue while using DevEx Controls. The Controls get render pretty Quick on FireFox but takes lot of time in IE. Were you able to find out the any root cause/Fix for this ? Any help/suggestion on this will be greatly appreciated

Hi veerur4u,

Yeah i fixed the issue somehow.. it seem that you need to disable the debug mode in the web.config. It is also way faster if your hosting it on a real webserver instead of the devweb server.

We already tried disabling the debug mode in web.config file, but the issue is still persisting. The application performance is better when running on local servers but when deployed on production server, the performance has gone down.
